BATTISTINI TOPS THE TIMESHEETS ON BOTH DAYS AT MIAMI-HOMESTEAD WITH SAM SCHMIDT MOTORSPORT
Homestead, Miami, Florida (November 21st, 2008)- Dillon Battistini was quickest after two days of Indy Lights testing for Sam Schmidt Motorsport after Sam invited Dillon to drive and take the opportunity of working together, topping the timesheets on both the Road Course and the Oval. Battistini, who is evaluating options for 2009, continued the form which enabled him to win four times during the 2008 season including the Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Said Dillon: I am very impressed with Sam Schmidt Motorsport and I thank Sam for the opportunity. I certainly enjoyed working with Chris Griffis and Tim Neff on the engineering side, we tried a number of things on the chassis to dial the car to suit the conditions. We did not even run new tyres at the end of the second day like everyone else and still ended up quickest, so Im very pleased with the performance. I would like to thank Sam and the whole team for their hard work and professional approach.
